Chicago- The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and assigned goaltender Antti Raanta to Rockford.
Darling, 25, has posted a 5-1-0 record in six games with the IceHogs; he ranks fifth in the AHL with a 1.79 goals-against average and sixth with a .939 save percentage. The Lemont, Ill., native posted a 2-1-0 record with a .933 SV% and a 1.98 GAA in three games with Chicago this season. He made his National Hockey League debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 26 vs. Ottawa, turning aside 31 of 32 shots on goal for his first career win.
Raanta, 25, has registered a 1-2-0 mark, including one shutout, a .933 SV% and 2.63 GAA in three games with Chicago this season.
Next Home Game: Sunday, Nov. 16 vs. Texas Stars at 4 p.m. The IceHogs round out their first three-in-three set of the season as they host the defending Calder Cup Champion Texas Stars at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The game is officially sold out but those with tickets already can stay after the game’s conclusion to take the ice with their favorite players in another rendition of “Skate with the Hogs.”
