Rockford, Ill. – June 22nd and 23rd are right around the corner and the Chicago Blackhawks have been selected to pick 18th overall in the first round of the 2012 National Hockey League entry draft.
Hosting the 50th annual draft this year is the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where the Blackhawks will pick 48th, 79th, 109th, 139th, 149th (from NY Rangers), 169th and 199th over the seven rounds beginning on Friday, June 22 at 6 p.m. The draft continues on Saturday morning, June 23rd at 9 a.m. for day two.
The Edmonton Oilers hold the first overall pick, followed by the Columbus Blue Jackets with the second selection.
