Rallo released from PTO

Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General manager Dale Tallon announced Sunday that goaltender Corey Crawford has been assigned to the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL.

Crawford had been scheduled to start Sunday afternoon’s game against Calgary but was ill. Patrick Lalime will get the start in goal this afternoon against the Flames with Nikolai Khabibulin serving as the backup.

Crawford had appeared in 5 games for the Blackhawks this season posting a record of 1-2-0 with a 2.15 goals against average and a .929 save percentage.

Crawford recorded his first career win and first career shutout when he defeated the Anaheim Ducks by the score of 3-0 on March 5th.

In other IceHogs news, Rockford General Manager Al MacIsaac announced that center Greg Rallo was release from his 25 game PTO and returned to the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL).

Rallo appeared in a pair of games for Rockford during two stints with the club. In 39 games with Idaho this season, Rallo has 17g-19a-36pts.
