CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Klas Dahlbeck from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and reassigned defenseman Adam Clendening to Rockford.
Dahlbeck, 23, has six points (2G, 4A) and a +4 plus/minus rating in 22 games with the IceHogs this season. The Katrineholm, Sweden, native was drafted by Chicago in the third round (79th overall) of the 2011 National Hockey League Draft. He has 47 points (13G, 34A) and a +36 rating in 167 career AHL games across three seasons with Rockford.
Clendening, 22, registered two points (1G, 1A) in four games with Chicago after making his NHL debut on Nov. 20 at Calgary. Originally drafted by Chicago in the second round (36th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, he has four points (1G, 3A) in 16 games with the IceHogs this year.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Dec. 6 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. Bring a new or gently used stuffed animal to Saturday's contest for Teddy Bear Toss Night. All the furry critters can be thrown onto the ice after the IceHogs score their first goal of the game. The stuffed animals will then be collected and donated to local hospitals and charities.
