Hogs winger to be featured on the league’s Web site

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs winger Troy Brouwer will be featured on the American Hockey League’s Web site, www.theahl.com, this week. The Hogs winger will answer fans questions in the Web sites Chat Room.

Fans can submit a question to the AHL’s leading power-play goal scorer via email at info@theahl.com. When submitting your question, list your name and hometown. The questions and answers selected will be displayed on www.theahl.com later this week.

Brouwer is skating in his second full season in the AHL and has led the Chicago Blackhawks top affiliate in goals both years. In 2007-08, Brouwer lit 35 lamps, including an AHL best 25 on the power play. The Blackhawks seventh-round selection in the 2005 Entry Draft scored 41 goals during his rookie campaign.

The Vancouver native was also named to the AHL’s All-Rookie Team, was a member of the AHL’s Team Canada All-Star Team and was a Second Team All-Star in 2006-07.
