CELEBRATE ROCKFORD DAY WITH $8.15 TICKETS TO THE ICEHOGS 2018-19 HOME OPENER

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs are celebrating Rockford Day (also known as 8-1-5 Day) with a ticket special for the team’s home opener for the 2018-19 season. On Wednesday, Aug. 15, fans can purchase any upper-level ticket for just $8.15 to the IceHogs first home game of the 2018-19 against the Texas Stars at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m.

The $8.15 tickets will only be available on Aug. 15 as part of 8-1-5 Day. Tickets can be purchased in-person at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or by calling the IceHogs front office at (815) 968-5222 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., or online at the above link from 12:01 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 15.

The IceHogs will also have specially discounted merchandise outside the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on 8-1-5 Day. Select IceHogs T-shirts and hats will be available for just $8.15 as part of the promotion.

Puck drop for the IceHogs’ 2018-19 home opener is 6 p.m. as Rockford hosts Texas in a rematch of the 2018 Western Conference Finals. The two teams battled to a Game 6 in last year’s playoff series, with four of the six contests extending into overtime. Ultimately, the Stars rallied with a late goal in overtime in Game 6 to eliminate the IceHogs from the postseason.

The IceHogs will begin their 20th season of professional hockey in Rockford and 12th as the top affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks with a road game on Oct. 5 at the Cleveland Monsters. Rockford will play back-to-back road games at Quicken Loans Arena before returning to the Forest City for the 2018-19 home opener against the Stars on Saturday, Oct. 13.
