CARRUTH SENT TO TOLEDO

Rockford, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that goaltender Mac Carruth has been reassigned from the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.

Carruth, 21, started the season in Toledo before making his IceHogs and AHL debut on Nov. 23, 2013 at the Charlotte Checkers. The Jackson, Wyoming native has appeared in seven games for Rockford on the season and shows a 2-2-0-1 record. In his seven games, Carruth has a 3.36 goals against average to go along with a .880 save percentage.

The rookie netminder returns to Toledo where he played eight games with a 2.50 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Carruth was a seventh round draft pick, #191 overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft of the Chicago Blackhawks.
