CARRUTH RETURNED TO FUEL
Goaltender heads to ECHL affiliate
Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs have returned goaltender Mac Carruth to their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.
Carruth, 23, has appeared in one game for the IceHogs during the 2015-16 season, allowing three goals in a 45-minute relief appearance of Michael Leighton in a 7-0 loss to the Stockton Heat on Oct. 10.
The Jackson, Wyo. native has posted a 9-5-2 record with Indy this season, including a 2.46 goals against average and .919 save percentage.
Carruth started three regular season games for the IceHogs in 2014-15, going 2-1-0, including his first career AHL shutout on Nov. 23 against the Chicago Wolves. The goaltender showed a 1.69 goals against average and .925 save percentage in his three appearances for Rockford.
Next Home Game: Jan. 3 vs. Milwaukee Admirals at 4 pm. The first 2,500 in the gates will receive a pack of Rockford IceHogs trading cards compliments of the Rockford Register Star. After the game, the team will host a postgame skate where fans can skate with their favorite IceHogs on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice. Skates will not be provided.
