CARRUTH RECALLED TO ROCKFORD

Goalie joins team in Texas

Cedar Park, Tex.- The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Mac Carruth to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Carruth is entering his first professional season after leading the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) to the Memorial Cup Finals last spring. Carruth was 30-7-2 with Portland a season ago with a .929 save percentage and a 2.05 goals against average.

Carruth was Chicago' seventh round selection (#191 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 19 vs. Grand Rapids. Game time is 7 p.m. Rockford opens the home portion of their regular season schedule against the Griffins.
