BROUWER RECALLED, KONTIOLA REASSIGNED
Chicago, Ill.-General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled right wing Troy Brouwer from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. Forward Petri Kontiola has been assigned to Rockford.
Brouwer, 22, is currently second on the IceHogs in scoring and tops in goals. In 38 games this season, Brouwer has 17 goals and 12 assists for 29 points with 67 penalty minutes. Of the 17 goals Brouwer has scored this season, 13 have come on the power play which leads the AHL.
Kontiola, 23, appeared in nine games for the Blackhawks and contributed three assists and picked up six penalty minutes. Kontiola posted a +4 rating in his nine games with the Blackhawks. With Rockford, Kontiola has 28 points in 28 games.
Kontiola is expected to be Rockford's line-up tonight when the club faces off against the Lake Erie Monsters at the MetroCentre at 7:05 p.m.
