Brouwer Assigned To Rockford

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Chicago Blackhawks have assigned right wing Troy Brouwer to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.

Brouwer, 22, appeared in one game for the Blackhawks against Detroit on January 6 and recorded 12:46 in ice time. Brouwer returns to Rockford as the IceHogs second leading scorer. In 38 games this season, Brouwer has 17 goals and 12 assists for 29 points with 67 penalty minutes. Of the 17 goals Brouwer has scored this season, 13 have come on the power play.

The Blackhawks next home game is on Friday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m. against the Minnesota Wild.
