Brodeur Re-Assigned To Pensacola

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL. He had been recalled to backup Patrick Lalime yesterday in the Blackhawks’ 2-1 win over Colorado.

Brodeur has split time this season between Pensacola in the ECHL and Rockford in the AHL. At Pensacola, Brodeur has appeared in 18 games with a record of 5-7-4, a goals against average of 3.18 and a save percentage of .909. He has played in 2 games for Rockford in the AHL with a record of 1-0-0, a goals against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of .944.

Last week, Brodeur was named the ECHL “Goalie of the Week” posting a record of 2-0-1 with a 1.59 goals against average and a .947 save percentage.

Brodeur was the Blackhawks’ 7th round pick (211th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
