BRISEBOIS TO ROCKFORD, WISE AND FOURNIER TO INDY
IceHogs and Fuel shuffle players
Rockford, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned defenseman Mathieu Brisebois from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, and defenseman Dillon Fournier from Rockford to Indy. Additionally, the IceHogs have loaned forward Jamie Wise to the Fuel.
Brisebois, 22, currently leads all Fuel blueliners with 12 points (2g-10) through 20 games played. The Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec native appeared in 41 AHL games last year between Portland and Rockford, tallying 11 points (3g-8a) with Pirates and IceHogs.
The Blackhawks acquired Brisebois, along with David Rundblad, from the Phoenix Coyotes on March 4, 2014, in exchange for a second-round draft pick.
Fournier, 20, made his AHL debut on Nov. 28 against the Chicago Wolves, where he finished with a plus-one rating. A Montreal native and four-year alum of the QMJHL, Fournier has appeared in 12 games this season with Indy in his first year as a professional.
Wise, 23, scored his first-career AHL goal against the Wolves in his IceHogs debut on Nov. 28. Hailing from Stouffville, Ontario, Wise has tallied one goal and four assists over 12 games with the Fuel this season.
