Rockford, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that they have reassigned defenseman Mathieu Brisebois from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League to the ECHL’s Indy Fuel
Brisebois, 22, was held scoreless in Rockford’s 5-2 win against Lake Erie on Saturday. The Mont. St. Hilaire, Quebec native has appeared in 20 games for Indy this season and ranks second on the club in scoring among defensemen with 12 points (2g-10a)
The blueliner appeared in 41 AHL games in 2013-14 between Portland and Rockford, tallying 10 points (3g-7a) between the two squads.
The Blackhawks acquired Brisebois, along with David Rundblad, from the Phoenix Coyotes on March 4, 2014, in exchange for a second-round draft pick.
