BONDRA, PRESS ASSIGNED TO INDY

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs have assigned forward Radovan Bondra and defenseman Robin Press to the ECHL’s Indy Fuel.
Bondra, 20, joined the IceHogs near the conclusion of the 2016-17 campaign and picked up two penalty minutes (PIM) in five games. The 6-5, 216 lbs. forward split the majority of last season between the Vancouver Giants and Prince George Cougars (WHL), playing in 62 games with 32g-31a-63pts.
The Trebisov, Slovakia native played the last two seasons (2015-17) in the WHL, racking up 47g-46a-93pts in 120 games. Before making the move to North America, Bondra helped Team Slovakia capture the Bronze Medal in the 2014-15 U20 World Junior Championships. That season, he also helped HC Kosice to the Slovakian Extraliga championship.
Bondra was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fifth round (#151 overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Press, 22, has skated in 11 career games with the IceHogs, including two contests during the 2017-18 season. He spent the majority of the 2016-17 campaign with the Indy Fuel, where he amassed 2g-8a-10pts and 14 penalty minutes in 30 games. The 6-3, 209 lbs. blueliner also scored his first professional goal with the Fuel last season on Dec. 20, 2016.
Press was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round (No. 211 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He made his North American professional debut with the IceHogs on April 15, 2015, skating in two games during the regular season and four contests during the Calder Cup Playoffs.
