BOLLAND AND HENDRY RETURN TO ROCKFORD
Combo rejoins IceHogs after long stints in Chicago
Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Tuesday that the National Hockey League club has returned center Dave Bolland and defenseman Jordan Hendry on loan to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Both Bolland and Hendry return to Rockford after lengthy stays in the NHL with Chicago. Bolland played 39 games with Chicago in 2007-08 and accumulated four goals, 13 assists and a plus/minus rating of +6. During his second professional season, Bolland received three recalls to the Blackhawks, one after an injury rehab assignment to Rockford.
With the IceHogs this season, the Mimico, Ontario native played 16 games scoring six goals and helping with four assists. Bolland is responsible for a pair of IceHogs AHL firsts. The centerman scored the first ever IceHogs AHL goal and also was the first of 19 players recalled to the Blackhawks this season when Chicago originally promoted him on Oct. 25th.
Hendry played 40 games with Chicago after a Jan. 9th recall. The third-year defenseman made one return to Rockford during his stay in Chicago, during the NHL All-Star break. During his first go-round in the NHL, the Lanigan, Saskatchewan native tallied a goal, three assists and an even plus/minus rating.
This season with Rockford, Hendry played in 41 games notching three goals and four assists. Hendry went undrafted, but was one of seven IceHogs players to make their NHL debut this season. The d-man scored his first career NHL goal on April 2 against the Detroit Red Wings.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, April 9 vs. Peoria Rivermen. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. The final week of the 2007-08 AHL regular season begins for the IceHogs when Peoria makes their final visit to the MetroCentre. Wednesday’s game is presented by Crown Royal.
