Hogs home Friday and Saturday
Rockford, Ill.- It’s election season and the Rockford IceHogs are asking you to voice your opinion on Saturday when they host a bobblehead election.
The bobblehead election, sponsored by Dental Dimension and WIFR, will be held on Saturday when the IceHogs take on the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:05 p.m. Fans will have a choice between either a President Obama or Mitt Romney bobblehead. There will be 2,000 of each candidate and the first to run out will be declared the straw poll winner.
Rockford opens the weekend on Friday against the Chicago Wolves in an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and the first 1,500 adults 21-and-older to the game will pick up a voucher good for an IceHogs glass mug courtesy of Applebee’s. The voucher can be redeemed at either Rockford area Applebee’s and is the first of a two-set series that will be given away this season.
Also on Friday, bring your gold to the game and trade it in for cash courtesy of Midwest Gold Exchange. You must have a valid ID to participate. Midwest Gold Exchange will be at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Nov. 2 and 10, along with Dec. 7, 8, 15 and 22, exchanging gold for cash.
