ROCKFORD, Ill – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced they have released defenseman Nolan Valleau from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Valleau, 25, was originally signed to a PTO on March 7. The defenseman skated in three games with the IceHogs and recorded two penalty minutes and five shots on goal. He made his team debut on March 10 at Milwaukee and has now skated in a total of 10 AHL games during the 2017-18 season with four PIMs and 15 shots on goal between the IceHogs and Chicago Wolves.
The native of Novi, Mich. originally made his professional debut with Rockford during the 2015-16 campaign. He has combined for 20 points (4g, 16a) in 118 career AHL games between the IceHogs and Wolves, and 30 points (8g, 22a) in 37 career ECHL contests with the Orlando Solar Bears.

The IceHogs host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Friday’s contest is Country Night with a live musical performance from local country band, “StateLine,” who will perform both pre and postgame on Friday. The first 2,500 fans in attendance can also complete their “Our Town, Our Team” bobblehead series with a free bobblehead of current Green Bay Packers defensive end and Rockford native, Dean Lowry.
