BLACKHAWKS TO SELECT 30TH IN FIRST ROUND OF DRAFT ON JUNE 25
Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks will have eight picks and first select 30th overall on Friday, June 25 at the 2010 National Hockey League entry draft at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Blackhawks are scheduled to pick 30th, 43rd, 60th, 90th, 120th, 180th, 191st, 210th over the seven rounds on June 25 and June 26. The first round will be broadcast on Versus starting at 6 p.m. June 25. Is will also be on NHL Home Ice XM 204 and NHL.com. The NHL Network will broadcast rounds 2-7 the following day, starting at noon.
The Carolina Hurricanes hold a League-high 11 picks of the 210 allotted. The Edmonton Oilers, owners of the first overall selection, and the New York Islanders follow with 10 picks apiece.
