The Chicago Blackhawks will honor the Rockford IceHogs, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, with a second intermission ceremony on Tuesday at the United Center during the club’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Blackhawks will introduce the entire Rockford team including General Manager of Minor League Affiliates Mark Bernard and Head Coach Bill Peters and his staff. The 2009-10 season marks the third year of Chicago’s AHL affiliation with Rockford.
The IceHogs rank third in the AHL’s West Division and fourth overall in the Western Conference with 86 points (40-27-3-3). Rockford has reached the Calder Cup Playoffs in each of its first two seasons and has compiled a .584 regular-season winning percentage (124-85-7-15), posting at least 40 wins in each campaign.
