Blackhawks to hold Third Annual Training Camp Festival on Saturday, September 18

The Chicago Blackhawks will host their third annual “Blackhawks Training Camp Festival,” at the United Center on Saturday, September 18 from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. The marquee event of the Festival will allow fans inside the United Center to watch a Blackhawks training camp practice with Head Coach Joel Quenneville wearing a microphone. Outside, the Festival will include a 5K walk/run and 10K inline skate named “The Mad Dash to Madison,” as well as a three-on-three street hockey tournament, a bags tournament, appearances from Blackhawks Alumni, live music, food and drink and entertainment for fans of all ages.

Tickets to the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp Festival, as well as registration for the “Mad Dash to Madison” and the three-on-three street hockey tournament go on sale on Monday, July 26 at 10:00 A.M. Fans can purchase tickets on chicagoblackhawks.com, at the Blackhawks Store (333 N. Michigan Ave.), by visiting any Ticketmaster location or by calling (800) 745-3000. Customers will be able to purchase up to eight (8) tickets during the sale.

Parking for the event is free in the United Center’s Lot K. A complete schedule for the Festival will be released at a later date.

The third annual Chicago Blackhawks Convention will take place at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan Ave.) on Friday, July 30; Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1, 2010. The convention, which has now sold out in each of its first three years, will feature both current Blackhawks players and alumni throughout the weekend and will include numerous autograph and photo sessions; Q&A panels; exhibits and interactive games and much more. Blackhawks Hall-of-Famers and Team Ambassadors Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito and Denis Savard, General Manager Stan Bowman, Head Coach Joel Quenneville and players
Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane are all scheduled to appear.
