The Chicago Blackhawks announced today the team has signed free agent defenseman Matt Walker (6-3, 213) to a one-year contract.
The Chicago Blackhawks announced today the team has signed free agent defenseman Matt Walker (6-3, 213) to a one-year contract.
Walker, 28, played in 43 games and scored two points (1-1) along with 61 penalty minutes with St. Louis last season. Since his rookie season in 2002-03, he has appeared in 175 NHL games, all with the Blues, and totaled 11 points on one goal and 10 assists along with 275 penalty minutes. Walker was St. Louis’ third round selection (83rd overall) in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
