Chicago, Ill.-The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Brandon Pirri from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs and assigned goaltender Alec Richards to Rockford.
Pirri appeared in Rockford’s 5-4 shootout preseason win over Peoria on Tuesday night and registered a goal and an assist to go along with a goal in the shootout.
Richards appeared in six games with the IceHogs during his rookie campaign in 2009-10. The Robbinsdale, Minn. native had a record of 3-2-0-0 with a .895 save percentage and a 3.12 goals against average. Richards also skated in 42 games with Toledo and went 17-12-5.
Chicago’s training camp roster now stands at 31 active players, which includes 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.
Rockford’s training camp roster contains 30 players including 16 forwards, 10 defensemen and four goalies.
