BLACKHAWKS RECALL MARTIN ST. PIERRE FROM ROCKFORD
Chicago, Ill.-General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled forward Martin St. Pierre from the Rockford IceHogs.
In 43 games at Rockford this season, St. Pierre was the IceHogs leading scorer with 16 goals and 46 assists for 62 points. Eight of his goals were on the power play and he had a +8 rating.
St. Pierre participated in last night’s American Hockey league All-Star game scoring a goal and adding two assists as the Canadian All-Stars defeated the PlanetUSA All-Stars by the score of 9-8.
St. Pierre was recalled earlier this season and has appeared in one game for the Blackhawks and did not score. He will join the team in time for tomorrow night’s game against the Avalanche at Colorado.
Last season, the centerman appeared in 14 games with Chicago notching a goal and three assists. Overall, St. Pierre has played in 17 career NHL games, all with the Blackhawks.
