Blackhawks Recall Commesso and Lardis From IceHogs
The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has recalled forward Nick Lardis and goaltender Drew Commesso from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Lardis, 20, has appeared in 21 NHL games with the Blackhawks during the 2025-26 campaign, logging seven points (5G, 2A). He made his NHL debut on Dec. 13 against Detroit and scored his first career NHL goal on Dec. 20 in Ottawa. Lardis has also posted 32 points (18G, 14A) in 35 games with the IceHogs this season. He ranks third among all AHL rookies and leads the club with 18 goals, while his 32 points rank fourth on the club.
Commesso, 23, has competed in two games with Chicago in 2025-26, posting a 1-1-0 record, a .917 save percentage, a 2.50 goals-against average and one shutout. He recorded his first career NHL victory and shutout on Jan. 10 in Nashville, making 36 saves on 36 shots. Commesso became the fourth goaltender in team history to post a shutout in his first NHL win. He’s also appeared in 28 games with Rockford this season, compiling a 9-16-3 record, a .899 SV%, a 3.07 GAA and one shutout.
