Chicago, Ill.- General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled forward Troy Brouwer from Rockford of the AHL.
Brouwer has appeared in 65 games for Rockford scoring 30 goals, 21 on the power play, to go along with 18 assists for 48 points with 146 penalty minutes.
This will be Brouwer’s second recall by the Blackhawks this season. Earlier this season, Brouwer appeared in one game for the Blackhawks and did not score.
Brouwer, 22, was the Blackhawks’ 7th round pick (214th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in 11 career NHL games for the Blackhawks and has not yet scored. In his first pro season with Norfolk in the AHL in 2006-07, Brouwer scored 41 goals and 79 points.
