The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Bickell, 23, has recorded three points (2G, A) and a +3 plus/minus rating in 14 games with the Blackhawks this season. Overall, the Bowmanville, Ontario, native has notched four goals and five points in 21 career regular-season games with the Blackhawks over parts of three seasons (2006-07; 2007-08 and 2009-10).
Bickell ranks fifth on Rockford with 16 goals and has collected 31 points and 58 penalty minutes in 65 AHL tilts this season. Chicago’s third choice, 41st overall, in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft, he has appeared in 228 career AHL regular-season contests with the Norfolk Admirals (2006-07) and IceHogs (2007-10) since turning pro in 2006, registering 51 goals, 58 assists, 109 points and 236 penalty minutes.
