Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled forward Alex Broadhurst from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Broadhurst, 20, has recorded 11 points (4g, 7a) in 16 games during his first professional season in Rockford. He shares second on the team in points and goals, and ranks third in assists. The New Lenox, Ill., native has recorded a season-high two points twice (Oct. 11 at Lake Erie and Oct. 27 vs. Texas).

Prior to his professional career, Broadhurst tallied 64 points (24g, 20a) in 65 games with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League during the 2012-13 season. He also appeared in 108 career games with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League from 2010 to 2012, posting 106 points (39g, 67a) in those contests.

Broadhurst was selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round, 199th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
