BLACKHAWKS REASSIGN TERAVAINEN TO ICEHOGS
Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have reassigned forward Teuvo Teravainen (TAY-voh tair-uh-VIGH-nehn) to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Teravainen, the team’s first-round selection (18th overall) in the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has appeared in three games with the Blackhawks this season since his recall from Jokerit of SM-liiga (Finland) on March 21. The 19-year-old forward led Jokerit with 44 points (9g, 35a) in 49 games this season.
Teravainen is expected to join the club Friday as the IceHogs kick off a three-game weekend.
Next Home Game: Friday, April 11 against the Milwaukee Admirals. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. as these two Midwest Division rivals meet got the last time at the BMO and last time on the regular season. Also, Goodwill will be collecting donations at Friday's game and every fan that donates will receive one (1) free voucher to Rockford's April 18th game.
