Chicago, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed defenseman Jordan Hendry, a member of the 2010 Stanley Cup Championship team, to a one-year contract.
Hendry, 26, posted career-highs in goals (2), assists (6), points (8), plus/minus rating (+5) and games played (43) during the 2009-10 regular season with Chicago. The Nokomis, Saskatchewan, native also skated in 15 postseason tilts during his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in 2010.
Originally signed as a free agent following a collegiate career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, Hendry has registered three goals, nine assists, and 36 penalty minutes in 92 regular season NHL contests spanning three seasons (2007-10).
The blueliner has also tallied 37 points (11g-26a) in 191 American Hockey League games with the Norfolk Admirals (2005-07) and Rockford IceHogs (2007-09), where he collected six goals and 10 assists in 98 games.
