BLACKHAWKS FIRST ROUND PICK HARTMAN TO ROCKFORD
Rockford, Ill.- The National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks announced today that forward Ryan Hartman has been assigned to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Hartman was drafted by the Blackhawks in the first round of the 2013 NHL entry level draft (30th overall).
The West Dundee, Ill. native has appeared in 52 games for the Plymouth Whalers (OHL) this season where he put up 53 points (25g-28a) ranking tied for third in scoring for Plymouth. His 25 tallies are a career-high and the 19 year-old posted six muti-goal games. Hartman skated in five playoff games this season tallying four assists for the Whalers.
Hartman appeared on the U.S. National Development Team (USHL) from 2010-12 where he skated in 59 games collecting 19g-17a-36pts. In 2011 he played in two playoff games for the National Team where he scored one goal.
Next Home Game: Sunday, Mar. 30 against the Chicago Wolves. The puck will drop at 4 p.m. as the Hogs wear specialty jerseys to be auctioned off for March of Dimes. It is also a family value day as you can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas all for $59.
