In conjunction with the National Hockey League and NBC, the Chicago Blackhawks announced today that their January 17 game against the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena will be televised nationally on NBC. To accommodate the broadcast, the game time has been moved up to 11:30 A.M. (CT), from 2:00 P.M., as previously scheduled.
The Blackhawks are already scheduled to appear nationally on Versus an NHL-high nine times during the 2009-10 season, including Tuesday (Jan. 5) when they host the Minnesota Wild at the United Center. Team broadcast partners Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV both established ratings records for Blackhawks telecasts during the month of December.
