Winger earns first recall of the season
Rockford, Ill.-The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Sunday that the National Hockey League club has recalled winger Jeremy Morin from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Morin, 20, has appeared in 23 games with the IceHogs this season, totaling 5g-10a-15pts. In his second professional season, the Auburn, NY native skated in nine games with the Blackhawks in 2010-11, registering two goals and an assist.
Originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round (#45 overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Morin also played in 22 games with Rockford last season, accumulating 8g-4a-12pts. The winger was acquired by the Blackhawks from Atlanta on June 24, 2010.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, Dec. 21 vs. Toronto. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Rockford hosts the Toronto Marlies for the first and only time this season. It’s also another Taco Bell Dollar Day. Fans can purchase beers, hot dogs, soft drinks and companion tickets for just one dollar a piece.
