Rockford, Ill. The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Thursday that they have loaned Rostislav Olesz to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Olesz, 26, was held scoreless in six games for the Blackhawks this season, registering six penalty minutes and six shots on goal.
The Bilovec, Czech Republic native was originally selected by Florida with the seventh overall pick in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He posted six goals and 11 assists in 44 regular-season contests with the Panthers during the 2010-11 campaign.
In his seventh NHL season, he has posted 57 goals, 75 assists and 118 penalty minutes in 355 career regular-season tilts.
The winger was acquired by the Blackhawks on June 24, 2011 from Florida in exchange for Brian Campbell.
