BLACKHAWKS ASSIGN LEDDY TO ROCKFORD
Chicago, Ill.-The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned defenseman Nick Leddy to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Leddy, 19, has recorded one goal in 14 games with the Blackhawks this year, as well as 10 points (2G, 8A) in 22 AHL tilts with Rockford this season during his professional debut. The Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native won a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, New York, earlier this month, collecting two assists and a +1 plus/minus rating in five contests.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Jan. 29 vs. Milwaukee Admirals: The puck gets on the ice at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs match-up with the Milwaukee Admirals for a fifth time this season and third at the Rockford MetroCentre. The first 2,500 fans to the game on Saturday will receive an IceHogs winter hat courtesy of Rasmussen College, FOX 39 and ESPN 1380.
