BLACKHAWKS ASSIGN FORTIN TO ROCKFORD
Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhaws have assigned left wing Alexandre Fortin to the Rockford IceHogs.
Fortin, 20, averaged a point-per-game last season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL, finishing the season with 22g-30a-52pts in 52 games. His 22 goals and 52 points both ranked fourth on the club in 2016-17.
A native of Blaineville, Quebec, Fortin helped the Huskies capture the QMJHL Championship in 2015-16, ranking second on the club in goals (6), assists (10) and points (16) in 13 postseason appearances. The 6-0, 174 lbs. forward played in 173 games, all for Rouyn-Noranda, during his QMJHL career (2014-17), notching 52g-83a-135pts in 173 games.
