Rockford, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has assigned defenseman Ethan Del Mastro to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Last season, Del Mastro split time between the AHL and NHL, suiting up for 47 games in Rockford and 24 contests in Chicago.

The defenseman enters his third professional season and was selected by the Blackhawks in the 4th round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

The IceHogs open the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 11 against the Milwaukee Admirals with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Fans can start the festivities downtown early with the IceHogs' annual Opening Night Block Party. Tickets are still available at icehogs.com.
