
BLACKHAWKS ASSIGN BASS AND LABRIE TO ROCKFORD

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have assigned forwards Cody Bass and Pierre-Cedric Labrie to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Bass, 27, recorded 12 penalty minutes and four hits with the Blackhawks during two preseason games. The centerman notched 18 points (8g-10a) and 132 penalty minutes in 58 games with the Springfield Falcons last season.
The Owen Sound, Ontario, native has appeared in 49 career NHL games with Ottawa and Columbus, posting five points (2g-3a) in those contests. He has earned 75 points (31g, 44a) and 545 penalty minutes in 270 career AHL games with Binghamton and Springfield.
Labrie, 27, accumulated seven penalty minutes and five hits in two preseason tilts with the Blackhawks. In 2013-14, Labrie recorded six points (2g-4a) and 112 penalty minutes in 38 regular-season games with the Syracuse Crunch. He also appeared in 13 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, recording 20 penalty minutes.
The Baie-Comeau, Quebec, native has posted five points (2g-3a) and 65 penalty minutes in 46 regular-season career NHL games with Tampa Bay. Labrie has 125 points (52g, 73a) and 722 penalty minutes in 388 career AHL regular-season contests with Syracuse, Norfolk, Peoria and Manitoba.
