
BLACKHAWKS ASSIGN 2 PLAYERS TO ROCKFORD

Chicago, Ill- The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have assigned forward Brad Winchester and defenseman Theo Peckham to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Winchester is coming to Rockford after spending the 2012-2013 season with the Milwaukee Admirals where he recorded 27 points (9g-18a) in the regular season. He also appeared with the Admirals in two playoff games. In 390 NHL games, Winchester has 68 points (37g-31a). The NHL teams Winchester has played for in the past include the Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks.
Winchester, a Madison native, skated for the University of Wisconsin from 1999-2003 and appeared in 150 games, putting up 84 points including 40g-44a.
Peckham, selected 75th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, is coming to Rockford off a season with the Oklahoma City Barons. He played in four games and recorded one assist. The 2013-14 season will mark Peckham’s seventh overall in the professional ranks.
The IceHogs roster now sits at 36 including 21 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders. The first preseason game will be tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 25th at West Meadows Ice Arena against the Chicago Wolves.
