The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with left wing Bryan Bickell on a one-year contract.

Bickell, 23, collected 14 points (6G, 8A) and 60 penalty minutes in 42 regular-season contests with the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs during the regular season before tying for the team lead with two assists in four postseason tilts. The Bowmanville, Ontario, native has notched two goals in seven career games with the Blackhawks over parts of two seasons (2006-07 and 2007-08).

Chicago’s third choice, 41st overall, in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Bickell has appeared in 163 career AHL regular-season contests with the Norfolk Admirals (2006-07) and IceHogs (2007-09) since turning pro in 2006, registering 35 goals, 43 assists, 78 points and 178 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, he spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Ottawa 67’s and Windsor Spitfires, notching 190 points (94G, 96A) and 235 penalty minutes in 242 career regular-season outings.
