The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Jeff Glass on a two-year contract through the 2017-18 season.
Glass, 31, has compiled a 5-4-1-2 record with a 2.38 GAA and .917 save percentage through 10 appearances with the IceHogs this season. The Calgary, Alberta native posted a 36-save shutout in his IceHogs debut on Jan. 18 at Cleveland, and added his second blanking of the season with a 37-save performance on Feb. 15 against the Monsters. He has won four of five appearances this month for the IceHogs, combining to go 4-1-0-0 with a 1.59 GAA since Feb. 10.
Overall, Glass has collected a record of 48-72-6 in 147 career AHL games between the Binghamton Senators (2005-09), Toronto Marlies (2016-17) and Rockford (2016-17). He has also gone 81-87-30 in the Kontinental Hockey League with six different clubs from 2009-16.
Glass was originally selected in the third round (89th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
