Blackhawks Activate Eager From Injured Reserve

The Chicago Blackhawks have activated left wing Ben Eager from injured reserve.

Eager, 25, was held scoreless in two games with the Blackhawks this season before being placed on Injured Reserve on October 8. The Ottawa, Ontario, native posted career highs in goals (11), points (15) and games played (74) last season while leading the team and ranking 13th in the NHL with 161 penalty minutes. He has notched 501 penalty minutes and 36 points (20G, 16A) in 197 regular-season games spanning parts of six seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers (2005-08) and the Blackhawks (2008-09), which includes racking up 188 penalty minutes and 17 points (11G, 6A) in 86 tilts in a Chicago uniform.
