Berezhnoy and Felcman Combine for Rockford's First Win

Des Moines, IA - The Rockford IceHogs skated past the Iowa Wild 2-1 on Friday night inside the Casey's Center.
In the 1st period, Connor Mylymok helped get Rockford some energy on the road with his first fighting major of the year, tangling with Iowa's Roman Schmidt. Stanislav Berezhnoy made ten saves in the scoreless frame.
At 6:58 of the 2nd, the IceHogs power play cashed in for the first lead of the season. Brett Seney and Derrick Pouliot combined to get Gavin Hayes the puck down low. Hayes backhanded the puck over the shoulder of Iowa's Will Rousseau from a tight angle for his first of the year.
In the opening minute of the 3rd, Wild defenseman Viking Gustafsson Nyberg found a rebound off the near post and tied the game 1-1.
IceHogs rookie Jiri Felcman connected for his first professional goal to give Rockford a lead once more. The forward floated a wrist shot from the slot for the game-winner.
Berezhnoy held strong in the crease, finishing with 26 saves.
