BAUN, GLASS ASSIGNED TO ROCKFORD
Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have assigned forward Kyle Baun and goaltender Jeff Glass to the Rockford IceHogs.
Baun, 25, finished the 2016-17 season as Rockford's active leader in points (34) while ranking second in goals (14) and third in assists (20). He was named Rockford's Most Improved Player for the 2016-17 campaign after more than tripling his point production from the year prior. Baun was originally signed by Chicago as a free agent out of Colgate University (NCAA) and agreed to a two-year extension with the club on March 3, 2016.
Glass, 31, joined the IceHogs on Jan. 10, 2017 and posted a 26-save shutout over the Cleveland Monsters in his IceHogs debut on Jan. 18. The Calgary, Alberta native posted an 8-10-2 overall record with Rockford and led the team with a 2.63 GAA and .914 save percentage. As part of his standout campaign, Glass earnd a two-year deal with the Blackhawks last February and received his first-ever regular season recall to the National Hockey League.
