Rockford, Ill.- Bacon Bits, the popular 30-minute TV show on FOX-39 featuring the Rockford IceHogs is back this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The bi-monthly show is hosted by WTVO Sports Director Scott Leber and WTVO Weekend Sports Anchor Adam Warner.

This week’s episode will look at IceHogs Defenseman Richard Petiot, who is skating in his first season with the IceHogs and fifth overall in the professional ranks. The Daysland, Alta. native is the midst of a career season with Rockford.

IceHogs Goalie Coach Wade Flaherty, a native of Langley, B.C. near Vancouver, will give Bacon Bits his thoughts on the Olympics taking place in his hometown.

Leber and Warner will recap the recent hot streak the IceHogs have been riding. Since beginning the season 9-11-2-1, Rockford is 21-9-0-2 since including 10-2-1-0 over their past 13 games, to rise to the upper echelon of the AHL’s West Division.
