Rockford, Ill.-The Rockford IceHogs invite fans to give a little something back with the annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, Dec. 11 against the Oklahoma City Barons.
Fans who would like to give back to the community this holiday season are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the game at the Rockford MetroCentre. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
When the IceHogs score their first goal of the game, fans can throw the stuffed animals onto the ice. Players and IceHogs staff will then distribute the items to Rockford area children’s charities and the local hospitals throughout the rest of the year.
The first 2,500 fans into the building will receive an IceHogs winter scarf courtesy of Mega Truck Rental and 97-ZOK.
For tickets to the game, visit metrocentre.com, call (815) 968-5222 or stop by the MetroCentre Box Office between noon and 5 p.m.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, Dec. 8 vs. Texas Stars. Game time is 6:35 p.m. The IceHogs kick off a season-high seven-game homestand when the Stars return to the MetroCentre. Wednesday is another Taco Bell Dollar Day presented by WXRX as fans can purchase beer, Vienna Beef hot dogs, soft drinks and companion tickets for just $1.
