ANDREW SHAW BOBBLEHEAD NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS WEEKEND
Hogs and Admirals finish 2013-14 head-to-head series on Friday
Rockford, Ill. – This weekend the Rockford IceHogs will be giving fans a chance to re-live an iconic moment in the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Championship run last season.
On Saturday when the IceHogs host the Iowa Wild, the first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an Andrew Shaw bobblehead courtesy of Vienna Beef. The third and final bobblehead in this season’s Champions Series will feature a cut underneath the eye of the figurine to commemorate the cut and stitches the former IceHog received while skating for the Blackhawks in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Saturday’s game is also “Pucks and Paws Night” as PAWS Humane Society, Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, and the Winnebago County Animal Services will all have dogs on hand at the BMO Harris Bank Center and available for adoption. Jones Natural Chews will also be showing off some of their products available throughout Illinois at various retailers.
The IceHogs are slated to open the weekend at the BMO with a border battle against the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, beginning with a 7 p.m. puck drop. The IceHogs will be collecting gently used items at the game in a partnership with Goodwill. Any fan that brings in an item to contribute will receive a voucher for one free ticket to the game on Friday, April 18.
For tickets to either game this weekend, call (815) 968-5222, visit icehogs.com, or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center or any Ticketmaster Outlet.
