Right wing has skated in 48 games with Rockford in 2009-10
Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday that right wing Akim Aliu has been reassigned from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
Aliu, 20, has appeared in 48 games with the IceHogs in 2009-10, his first professional season. He has recorded 11 goals and six assists. In 55 professional games, all with Rockford, the Kiev, Russia native has posted 13 goals and six assists.
The winger’s junior career included stops in Windsor, Sudbury and London of the Ontario Hockey League. He posted 169 career points (76g-93a) in 207 games.
