AHL SUSPENDS GILBERT FOR THREE GAMES

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The American Hockey League today announced that Rockford IceHogs defenseman Dennis Gilbert has been suspended for three games:

Per the AHL: Gilbert has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. San Antonio on Dec. 2.

Gilbert was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Rockford’s games Friday (Dec. 7) vs. Grand Rapids, Saturday (Dec. 8) vs. Chicago and Dec. 14 at Grand Rapids.

Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 7 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins | 7 p.m.
The IceHogs host the Grand Rapids Griffins in a Friday-night matchup at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 1,000 fans in attendance ages 21-and-up will receive a free IceHogs cooler bag, courtesy of Bud Light.
