AHL SUSPENDS BASS AND DENT
SPRINGFIELD, Mass - The American Hockey League today announced that Iowa Wild left wing Curt Gogol has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a charging incident, Iowa Wild left wing Stephane Veilleux has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a boarding incident, and Rockford IceHogs center Cody Bass and Rockford IceHogs head coach Ted Dent have each been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of their actions, all from a game between the teams on Nov. 26.
All suspensions were assessed under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).
Bass and Dent will miss Rockford’s game tonight (Nov. 28) vs. Chicago.
Gogol and Veilleux will miss Iowa’s games Saturday (Nov. 29) at Texas and Sunday (Nov. 30) at San Antonio.
